bleach doodle t-shirt

Have you ever leaned up against the washing machine and done this when doing laundry?

Ugh...I thought I was being so careful.

Well instead of throwing it out.

I did this:

Doodle...doodle...away with bleach soaked cotton swabs.

Then wash with cold water and launder like normal.

And now:

Kind of pretty. Mistake to messy marvelous. :)

I am sure a bleach pen would be easier to use but I didn't have one and this worked fine.

Happy Monday!
My kindergartner is home all week from school after today so we are going to try for some kid friendly crafting this week. Let's see how far we get. :)

Very cute! I actually saw something similar to this a couple of days ago where someone put down a stencil and sprayed a light mist of bleach over a shirt so that it put the design on the shirt. I never would have even thought to do something like this...now I can't wait to try it!

Love the design.

I have a sweater I've held onto for two years with a bleach stain that I haven't been able to part with that I am so excited to try this with!

That looks great and I never thought of doing that. Sure beats tossing out the shirt.

How cute is that! I have to remember that next time I mess up a shirt from bleach.

My friend told me of your blog, and I now "stalk" it frequently. It's great! You are! Very inspiring. Anyway- this bleach-doodling idea is ingenious! Think of all the ruined shirts one could save! :) Very cool. Good job. And keep up the good work! :)

it came out great. i have seen it done like that in a book with a cotton swab. looks cool and i think is quicker than the bleach pens.
good luck this week.

Visiting from Be Different...Act Normal. I about jumped out of my chair when I saw this! I have a shirt that I was so mad that I dripped bleach on. Now I know exactly what I'm going to do to make it wearable again! Thanks for the inspiration! -Kelsee
