Lucy Flower

I don't think Tanya from Trey & Lucy has officially named this flower but that is what I have been calling it.

It is a rosette but not rolled. The first link I listed was for her picture tutorial and this one is for her more recent video tutorial.

When I made mine I used a silky fabric I already had so it started to curl and form little waves as I tried to keep it all together while trying to hand sew it.

I am still pleased with it but I want to make another one with a cotton blend to get the structured loveliness that Tanya's flower achieved.  Hopefully it was my fabric this time and not me and my lame hand sewing skills. ..I guess we'll see. :)

My husband took these pictures of me today which is why I am laughing. He has that sort of effect on me. :)

Aren't they pretty cool flowers? I love how big they are. Thanks Tanya for a great flower tutorial!
