I wanted to make the transparency insert more like subway art so I made up this template.
Feel free to use it if you like. It just might be a little more complicated than the free download Amy provides for you.
You have to save the image to your computer and then add the name above the dotted line in picasa or photoshop. Save the image and then insert as a picture in a Word document. Print on transparency paper. If you don't want to buy a whole pack of transparencies you can print them at a print shop for a small fee. I was able to print mine for 40 cents and I still could have used more transparency space. Not bad.
You may be able to add it to Word and then add the name but I haven't tried that.
We added some peppermint bark bars and we were all set.
Happy Holidays!

Love this! Have fun in AZ if you are in the tempe, mesa area there is a really great restaurant called si senior. it is in chandler my mom and bro live there and the red sauce at this restaurant is amazing. seriously i dream about it. to say it was life changing for me would be an understatement. I ate there for the first time when i was pregnant and was craving spicy, crunchy, melty and i seriously cried when i are the food. it was that good. i have been back many times, since that and not pregnant and it is great. if you're not in that area, sorry i teased you :)
Very cute idea!! We may do a couple f these for my kids teachers, and add a box of tissues with a note that says: "We TISSUE a Merry Christmas, and a HANDY new year!"
Such an awesome idea for a teacher! I gotta try this out for my teacher friends.
It's very original and also nice. I don't know if you know Tagxedo. But it's great to do that kind of tags. (Perhaps you have already use it)
Cute stuff! I've linked this and a few others. Thanks for sharing!
Found you through Pinterest. I see you are interested in adoption. I'm an adoptive mom of 3, bio to 2. Lots of blessings but also trials. Your blog is amazing!
This is such a great gift idea - but I have a stupid question. How do you transfer what you print on the transparency film to the bottle? I am not very crafty - but I would love to try this.
K8t613 - not stupid at all. simple cut the transparency to size, roll it up and slip it into the neck of the bottle. use the pump to smooth it into place and you're all set!
How big of a photo do you use? I used my photo editing software (I use Storybook Creator from Creative Memories) and added in my teacher names, but don't know how big to print the transparencies or how big the insert should end up. Thanks!
What font do you use for your teachers names?
