There are no decorations really, no gifting, no fuss.
Just enjoying the beautiful earth that we live on (even the dandelions) and renewing our commitment to take better care of it.
We are not as green as we could be, but we try. :)
To celebrate Earth Day, I made a few more jersey knit produce bags to store our Bountiful Baskets produce.
Have you tried Bountiful Baskets? It is amazing. You get an abundance of quality produce for only $15! If you live in the U.S., go check out their site. Chances are, there is a co-op near you. It's like Christmas every time we go too because you never know what you're going to get. I love it!
My boys enjoyed going with me and helping to bag everything up.
Looking at this picture makes me want to give Reid a friendly poke in the stomach. His long torso might need to move up to 4T shirts. ;)
We also celebrated by getting out and enjoying the day.
The weather was perfect for a walk.
Natalie and I spent some time just hanging out in the yard as well, watching the boys ride their bikes.
Basket Weave Blanket pattern found here.
Did you know this girl turned six weeks yesterday?
She's also started doing a little more of this...
...and cooing at me. I love getting her out of her crib in the morning because she's so happy to see me.
I also love how her eyes turn into little crescent moons when she smiles.
Nat decided to kick off her socks as she often does. :)
I decided that was a good idea. Walking barefoot in soft, cool grass is one of life simple pleasures.
Thanks Mother Nature.
One last 'green' thing I did was put up our clothes line. To me, Summer is officially on her way when the weather is fine enough to do this.
I didn't get to any laundry, so I decided to put up this message for you instead...
Hope your day is beautiful!
