Dairy Free Gravy

Ingredients
  

  • 3 tbsp Earth Balance butter
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 2 cup broth
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 cloves garlic (I like to toast it first) minced or pressed
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Cook dairy free butter over medium heat until melted and bubbling slightly.
  2. Add flour and whisk to make a roux.
  3. Add broth and whisk until well combined. Add bay leaf.
  4. Simmer and stir regularly until mixture thickens to desired consistency. Add salt and pepper and garlic to taste.
  5. Remove bay leaf and serve with dairy free mashed potatoes.
