VTech Switch & Go Dinos Contest

VTech recently came out with a new line of toys that are both dinosaur...

and car! They're called Switch & Go Dinos™. Basically, a little boy's dream toy.

VTech sent a few for the boys to try out.

Needless to say, they are in heaven!

They switch them to cars here and there as it suits them, but they don their dinosaur form most of the time.

We got three of the seven dinos in the Switch & Go Dino line-up. Horns (he's blue), Tonn (he's yellow with a surfer dude accent), and Attila (the biggest one out of the three).

These little things transform from dino to car back to dino in just a matter of seconds. They have little LCD screens on the front with changing, animated eyes, and they spout dinosaur facts when you press their action buttons! Very smart!

They roar,
http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-b8nQbD3deOc/UCwRHo-aZeI/AAAAAAAAO3Q/eSMY0J4npGU/s1600/VTech-1509.jpg
they talk to you...they're interactive little robot dinosaur friends for boys young and old. When these little guys came in the mail, my husband was almost as excited as my boys! It was like Christmas morning. He was on the floor surrounded by the toy wrappings and instruction manuals "showing" the boys how they work. I love that he loves to play with them.

Once the boys got the run down on how the dinos work (it only took a few minutes), they were off and running. Literally. These Dinos have seen almost every inch of our house and have roared in almost every crevice.

I would say the sounds bug me, but they have given me many a sanity break. They've occupied Owen and Reid for literally hours at a time. It's a little sad for Reid that Owen's now in school, but the plus side is, he hasn't had to share! :)

To help promote their new Switch & Go Dinos, VTech is also hosting a fun contest for them! Show & Tell with Switch & Go!

To enter, all your kids need to do is get creative.
They can draw a picture of a Switch & Go Dino, mold a clay or crafty version of them, or customize a Switch & Go Dino if you already have one. Take a brief 15-30 second video of your kids making their creation, then upload it to the VTech Facebook page.
Owen and Reid decided to customize theirs with some pipe cleaners. Here's our little sample video:

You could probably get a lot more creative than we did. If you do, it could pay off in big and exciting ways.

One grand-prize winner will get a kids lifetime supply of educational toys from VTech. And your video will air on a VTech commercial on Nickelodeon, which you can watch at your very own viewing party with your friends and family. And VTech will also transform your living room into the ultimate Dino den.

Pretty darn amazing.

Here are more contest details:
Let your child choose 1 of 3 ways to show-off their home-made Dino creation and record it on video:
o 1. Draw: They can use markers, crayons, paint or pen to sketch your creation on paper
o 2. Build: They can use foil, paper, cardboard, or any non-branded household items to build your dino
o 3. Customize: They can update their own VTech Switch & Go Dino with accessories and fun props to give them a new image!

Then cast your vote for the coolest, most creative and fiercest video from October 8-19.

Remember: It's EASY to enter! Simply DRAW or BUILD your own Dino for a chance to win! Purchase of a VTech Switch & Go Dino is NOT necessary to enter.
Let their creativity come through by having them tell the world what their dino looks like, what it eats, what it sounds like, and more - it's THEIR VERY OWN DINO!

That's it.

Good luck!
