Then, Kiwi Crate contacted me and asked if my boys would want to try one out. So, I researched the company and was very impressed. Basically, Kiwi Crate sends out packages full of craft project supplies for children ages 3-7. You get a bundle of materials to create a few projects at a time. You subscribe to it like you would a magazine and a new crate comes every month.
Gifts Made by Me package. There are more options to choose from so you can pick one that best suits your child(ren).
Inside the crate, was everything they needed to each make a journal and a couple of cards adorned with their own personal painted prints. No supplies from our stash were needed whatsoever and instructions they could understand were included for each step.
You can tell that these projects are created by parents and tested by kids. Both of my boys enjoyed the projects and I am very impressed with how everything turned out.
(Who knew Owen would be so good at wrapping? I have to remember to enlist his help with the book advent wrapping next year!)
What a great way to let your kids create something for someone else this holiday season, that is practical, useful, personalized, and really great looking...all the way down to the packaging!
You get enough for the projects in the crate plus maybe a tool or two that you can continue to use after the crate project is done.
Kiwi Crate is not paying me to say this. They simply sent me a crate and asked me to review it.
I liked it so much, and wanted to make it easier for you guys to try it, so I sent an email asking Kiwi Crate to give you guys a discount.
They were gracious enough to agree.
From now until Sunday, December 9, 2012, all of my readers get 25 % off the first crate in a subscription. There is free shipping, so that means your first crate is just $15 for one child or $21 if you get a sibling add on. That's a little better than their current site -wide promotion!
Simply enter DELIA25 at check out.
FYI: The holiday crates are not eligible for the discount unless you opt to make the holiday crate your first crate.
Hope you have time today to get your craft on! Happy Thursday!
