Jennyandteddy Creation Amigurumi Crochet Pattern Giveaway

January 17, 2011 · Delia 45 Comments

A couple months ago when I did my first giveaway, Jane approached me offering to do this wonderful giveaway.

Her shop, Jennyandteddy Creations, is chock full of the cutest crochet doll patterns.

Here are some of my favorites:

And of course this one:

Adorable right?

She offered to let me try some of the patterns out. When I saw this little puppy dog one, I knew my 2 year old would love it.

I am a beginner/immediate crocheter but I have never done amigurumi crocheting before. It took me a bit to catch on but once I did it was fun.

The process is actually quite simple. You only use one basic single crochet stitch and work in rounds. You just have to work on making the stitches tight, small, and consistent throughout.

I actually couldn’t handle the needle size she recommended. It was too small for me to see what I was doing. So I used about 3 needles sizes larger and it worked great. It just makes a bigger doll and uses more yarn.

I love how she includes smaller patterns within the larger pattern, for little details like this bag.

My decrease stitch needs some tweaking but…

I learned a lot as I went and I am so glad I made one!

When I asked my two year old to name him, he replied with “Puppy!” So I asked my five year old next and he decided to name it “Tortica.” Sort of like “tortilla.” My two year busted up laughing…so “Tortica” it is.聽 馃檪

Now to the giveaway…

Jane is offering:

2 patterns from her shop to 2 winners.聽

Great right?

And even better. She is giving all my readers 50% off every pattern in her shop until January 31, 2011.聽 Everyone say hip hip hooray for generous Jane!

***To get your 50% off just enter “delia” in the coupon code section at check out.

Giveaway Rules:

1. You enter by leaving a comment with your name and a reliable email address with which to contact you. If your email is linked to your blogger profile this is fine. I just need a way to get a hold of you should you win.

2. One entry per person. Please be honest.

3. The giveaway runs from today Monday, January 17, 2011 6 AM MDT until Tuesday, January 18, 2011 12 Midnight MDT. Any comments left after that time will not be included in the drawing. The winners will be announced on my blog sometime on Wednesday, January 19 and will also be contacted by email. Any winners that do not reply to the winner notification email by Friday, January 21, 2011 by midnight will be disqualified and a new winner be chosen in their place.

Don’t forget to check out the Jennyandteddy Creation etsy shop and remember to enter my name in the coupon code to get 50% off.

Best of luck and…

***Giveaway CLOSED***

I don't crochet but my mother-in-law does and my girls would LOVE these! I don't even know which is my favorite. Probably the panda since that's the big girl's nickname and then the little girl doll is adorable too, especially with some kind of crazy yarn for hair. How fun! jadelovesbrynn [at] yahoo {dot} com

I came across this site while searching for cozy slippers. I then saw the ear warmers and they are amazing. I styling juices are flowing. Wished I had found this for a craft show last month to pay for graduate school. You have some wonderful ideas. Keep being different!
