90 minute lesson

March 30, 2010 · Delia 2 Comments

I finally sewed Dana’s 90 minute shirt for my youngest boy this last weekend. The tutorial has you make your own pattern. My shirt turned out better than I expected it to, but I do need to adjust my pattern a bit and bring the neckline down a little. I’ll admit I was afraid I was going to mess up my first one and I did, but not noticeably. 馃檪

I LOVE Dana’s tutorials. They teach me how to be a better sewer and to challenge myself.

I love re-purposing projects too because I like making something out of nothing.

One thing that helped me a lot was to cut stuff while watching TV one night. I cut a bunch of things for other projects too. Then on another day I sewed it. Doing it that way I doubt it even took the full 90 minutes. Having everything all laid out and ready while I felt fresh and ready to go helped me get it done it like 45 minutes or less – sewing time. So if you want to make one go to MADE. You won’t regret it.

I am definitely going to make more!
