Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake

I made this for a Christmas social at my husband's school the other day.

It is one of our favorite cakes. I have actually posted this recipe before here {scroll to the end of the post} but thought I would share it again.

The only change I made this time is that I made little chocolate trees for the top.

Merry Baking!

This looks amazing. I've had it in my head to make ever since reading your original post about it! I have a question- we only have natural peanut butter. What happens if you use that (you specified not to use it, so I wondered if you had and something funky happened)! :)

Love your blog.

This looks so good. I went to get the recipe and I saw that I left a comment on the original post but can't believe I never made it. I printed it out this time and I have all the ingredients so I'm making it today! I might not be cooking homemade meals lately but darn it all, I'll serve my family a "made with love" desert!

Thanks. Your cake looks so beautiful. What did you put on the outside? Nuts? I think I might try chopped pretzels as my daughter doesn't like nuts. Crazy girl. But pretzels would be good I think.

Delia, That looks incredible. I hope your husband told everyone you made it because it looks way too perfect to be homemade. WOW! and YUM! You are so good at so many things!

I made it! The frosting was delicious and it was a BIG batch. I have a jar leftover in the fridge. If is keeps well we might try it on some sugar cookies in a few days. I used pretzels and it was good. Mine didn't turn out anywhere near as pretty as yours. How in the world did you get your nuts on the side of that cake?

I guess I like leaving you multi-part comments. Because a few more things-
1- I saw you on Prudent Baby. Goodness girl, that's big time. :)
2- That cake looks delicious.
3- I love it more than I can tell you that you think we don't have craft fails- hahahahahahaha. Maybe I should put those on the blog more often. I think part of being creative is your vision not translating into the finished product. It's just how things work. :) Next major craft fail, I'll take a picture for you. But far more often, things just are 'off' from what I pictured, you know?
4- Again, I like you! :)
