B-I-N-G-O Summer Charts

May 25, 2012 · Delia 20 Comments

I can’t believe summer is almost here!

Owen gets out of school next week and then the fun gets to begin!

You may remember our summer bucket list from last year. Well, this year I decided to change things up a bit and make a summer bingo board.

I copied some ideas from last year and then added a few I found on Studio 5’s site here.

When we get six in a row we get to go get ice cream. If we get blackout we get to eat out at Red Lobster, my boys’ all time favorite restaurant. When I told them, they flipped out with excitement. I hope they always stay this easy to please. 馃檪

I like the idea of being rewarded for having fun…makes it even more exciting!

If you want play along, here’s a blank bingo chart.

Just right click and save to your computer. Then add text in Picasa or Photoshop before printing at your local print shop. It’s sized to 11×17. Mine is printed on a 13×19 so it has more white space around the border.

I also decided to change up our chore system for the summer.

Each week they get a chore bingo chart with a mix of some relaxed and some challenging “chores” which include reading goals, school work sheets, and normal housework.

You are welcome to grab one as well if you like.

I still haven’t decided on rewards yet. Any ideas?

Have a great Memorial Day weekend!

I want a chore bingo card for myself! I would get so many prizes for doing things I have to do anyway. Surely the grown-ups can join in on the fun? 馃檪

I say reward the chore chart with an activity the boys enjoy. Maybe a trip to the park, family game, riding bikes – whatever they already enjoy that is good for them too! I'll have to use this idea when mine get older!

I love CMK Mama's idea of rewarding them with a fun activity – maybe one of the activities on the Summer Bingo list.

Love the row & blackout ideas…motivation for Mom to finish the Bingo card too :o) Some of the things my boys put on our list a few years ago were doozies and Mom never quite got around to getting them done. The Bingo card limits the options so only the best

I definitely love this! They are beautifully done, as well. Thanks for sharing the template. As a fanatic of online bingo games, this gave me great idea how to do my bucket list! I know it took some time to create these, and now all I have to do is hit print.
