Color Your Summer ORANGE with Craftiness is Not Optional

Today, I have a blogging super star here as my guest…
Jessica from Craftiness Is Not Optional is here of course!
I mean, what can this girl NOT do?
She is cookie decorator supreme, she is a party throwing queen, and she is a sewing machine. 😉 See what I did there? Oh and mama to three a.dor.able girls. Have you seen her sewing patterns yet? Or her tutorial list….holy moly. Grab some treats and kick up your feet…you’ll be there awhile wanting to click on every single project. (Not that I know anything about that). 😉

I mean, you probably already read her blog, but if you don’t, I can tell you that you will find the most down to earth, talented, lovely friend in blog land. She is just awesome.

I’m excited to have her here today. Here’s Jess!

Hey guys! Jess here, from Craftiness is not Optional, and I’m psyched to be here for Delia and Kirstin’s Color Your Summer series! It’s been fabulous so far, right? I decided to play around with a recipe this time, although popsicles hardly count as a recipe, as you’ll see…lol! It makes them perfect for the kids to help though! These pops are sweet, creamy, and totally how I remember orange creamsicles tasting!

Orange Creamsicle Pops

Ingredients:
frozen orange juice concentrate, defrosted in the fridge
pudding mix (I used a cheesecake mix and it was DElish)
2 cups of milk

You’ll also need a popsicle mold and sticks, I used this one.

So this recipe is reeeallly hard. Not. First mix your pudding mix and 2 cups of milk together (this part is great for the kids to help with!), and make sure you do it in a bowl with a little spout for pouring, if you have one. That makes it much easier! So you can either layer it like I did, first a layer of pudding, then let that set up for about 10 minutes in the freezer, then a layer of OJ concentrate, let it set up, then some more pudding. (just put the sticks in before the bottom layer totally freezes up)

Or you could do just equal part of both, and let it all swirl and mix together! Yum. The flavor combinations could be so fun! Strawberry juice and cheesecake pudding would be delish, right? Or orange and chocolate…Anyways…put your sticks in and let it freeze away for a few hours, then run some hot water over the mold, pop them out, and enjoy! Don’t forget to lick the drips!

Have a colorful summer!

Thanks for the recipe idea, Jess!
We've been having "Parks and Popsicles" days at my house, and we happen to be fresh out of popsicles. These will get made tomorrow!
