Give me some sugar…

December 7, 2011 · Delia 9 Comments

I think sugar cookies are the quintessential cookie for Christmas.Full of decorating opportunities and nostalgia. They are almost iconic…when you think “Christmas cookie” usually an image of a sugar cookie comes to mind.

I’ve mentioned my sugar cookies a couple of times.

In this post.聽
And this one.聽
But I’ve never shared the recipe.
I happen to think it’s the tastiest sugar cookie recipe ever.
It’s not so full of sugar that you instantly think “whoa sugar!” with the first bite, but they’re just perfectly sweet enough that you can’t help but go back for more.
They are also nice and chewy and soft…just perfect! 馃檪
The key ingredient is sour cream…hence why they’re called:
It’s a recipe that my mom always made growing up and that was passed down to me.
And now I’m sharing it with all of you over at This heArt of Mine
for Amy’s…
See you there…

Mmmmm, that looks very good! I love cookies. And sugar cookies can only be good. I went to Amy麓s blog to check the recipe. I see that it requires 3 eggs which I do not eat. so now I am wondering if I can substitute them in this recipe with something else to make these cookies. I want my Xmas cookies selection to have enough variety 馃檪
Thank you for giving the recipe!
