Knit Caps

I saw this hat tutorial from Kalleen from At Second Street and I went a little crazy.

I made matching hats in triplicate for me and my boys…

You can see that some of the T-shirt logo made it onto the bill of my youngest boy’s hat. I was running out of t-shirt!

Then I made one for my oldest boy.

I also made two other hats that I tried doing a bleach technique with and they turned out U-G-L-Y. That is why they aren’t on the blog. 🙂

And…

another for me. This time without a plastic bill. Verdict…I like it WITH the bill much better.

So yes…I went a little hat crazy but did you know these are so easy and fast to make? I couldn’t help myself.

Guess what I used for bill material? I used those plastic sour cream/yogurt containers! Yes I did. They are already a bit curved so it worked GREAT! Thanks Kalleen for another great tutorial!

Love these, Delia! A friend made a similar hat for my husband using a gray/red/white plaid button down shirt… now I can learn how to make one, too! Plastic containers for the bills… genius.

Delia, thanks for sharing your hats with me. They are addictive aren't they. I'm glad you found them to be as fast and easy as I did. You have some cute boys and you did a fabulous job. I'm off to look at more of your cute blog.

HI Delia, I have been following your blog but have not yet had free hands to write you a comment. These hats are great! I think I will try to tackle this project this weekend! I also really enjoy your pictures. I'll visit again soon!
