Me & him

May 24, 2012 · Delia 6 Comments

Did you catch my mention of Family Ever After, The Letter 4, and It’s Overflowing’s self-portrait contest聽 in my self portraits post yesterday?

Well I thought it would be fun to enter too.

Here’s my entry:

I know you can’t see me very clearly, but that’s on purpose. I decided to go with an introspective perspective.

You see, this middle child of mine. I see so much of myself in him. Not only has he inherited my physical traits, but he also seems to have absorbed some of my personality as well. The good…and the bad. oy. I take full responsibility for this little sassafras of emotional energy, as much as I would rather not. 馃檪

He is pedal to the metal in everything he does. I admire his passion…his zest for life. He’s strong, witty, and brave and full of love. But I can’t take credit for that. No…that’s all him and I love him for it.

Have a super day. Thanks for reading. 馃檪

Amazing picture! It's funny to so much of ourselves in our children. My oldest is all me. My middle not so much and my youngest is a perfect mix of my husband and myself. It is funny to see how different children from the same parents can be. Good luck with your entry!
