Happy Presidents’ Day!
To celebrate I get to giveaway one pattern from Megan Nielsen Patterns!
Have you checked her out? You should. She has great maternity and nursing wear patterns as well as some for every woman, pregnant or not.
Megan let me pick a pattern to test for all of you for the giveaway. So I hopped over to her site…
I wanted something that I could wear after the baby too. Something that would very nicely cover my post-pregnancy belly. 🙂 I felt the Rie Dress was perfect!
The pattern was easy to follow and very well made. She really puts those tissue paper patterns to shame.
I do question now my choice of white knit for this dress. It makes my obvious belly…well, more obvious. It also requires a slip underneath. After pregnancy though I think it will be great for spring and summer.
I also plan on making another dress once I find a knit I like.
It’s a great dress to wear with a belt. Very versatile and comfortable.
And just because I couldn’t resist…
ha ha…one must laugh at oneself while doing something egocentric like taking pictures of oneself…
I have gained more weight with this pregnancy than with my others…not at first but I caught up quick by the middle. I feel like I have also popped out more. With Reid I stopped growing about this time due to some non-threatening complications and Owen was my first so…I wasn’t that big, even though I thought I was. 🙂 I have gotten a few surprised “Whoa!” reactions from people who haven’t seen me in a while. Ha ha…it’s better than, “Due any day now huh?” Those statements bug me for some reason; probably because I’m moody and pregnant. Meh..
Megan Nielsen Patterns.
Until then, I’ll be staring out this window in the baby’s nursery…
ha ha…I wish! I have a couple more projects, another guest post, and a nice long before baby bucket list to tackle.
Have a great day!
Great giveaway!

I'm with you on the "due any day now" comments. I'm short and I have big babies, so there's nowhere for them to go except out. I start getting those comments around 20 weeks!

I've been reading the nesting series you've been doing, which by the way has been fantastic, all the while not realizing we are due the same week. Although I'm having a boy I've found it super fun reading. Hope all goes well for you! oh,& as much as I love this pattern I would hate to take the win from someone who could get much more use of it. I'm on the home stretch!
Thanks for the opportunity to win this pattern!
lol, I have to agree with you that the white does make the belly more obvious. Very cute though.

If I can't use it then I'll make one for someone who can ;). You look SO CUTE!!! I love pregnant bellies. And people say funny (aka stupid) things sometimes. It happens no matter what size we are, it seems! You look adorable. Almost there! She's going to be beautiful!
I hear you on the getting bigger the next time around part. I moved into maternity clothing much earlier! I haven't attempted to sew any clothing yet, but I will have to look into these patterns!
I want it!! I'm due in may and getting bigger everyday! [email protected]
I'm large with my third, and I'm already getting the "Any day now?" questions even though I have three & a half months to go…
PLENTY of time to make and wear some easy knit dresses!
jennycavin (at) gmail (dot) com
The dress is lovely and you look adorable pregnant! 😀
By the end of my pregnancy with my daughter, I was as wide as I am tall… I didn't find out what I was having, but at my blessing way, my girlfriends were certain she's a she due to the size of, well me 🙂
I am going to be honest with you, I don't love the dress. There is something going on in the chest area that isn't right… the yolk hits in the wrong place and
I would love one of her patterns, just starting to grow out of the non maternity clothes, so it would come in handy

Fact for the day: The word ‘rie’ in norwegian means ‘contraction’! Perhaps this isn’t a coincidence and the pattern maker has a scandinavian background! I am having my first child and just read the word this morning in a book on birthing! How funny. 🙂
What a great give away, her patterns are gorgeous :-). Enjoy the pregnancy, and the pictures look great!
This is so exciting! I’ve always wanted to try her patterns! I’m 20 weeks now and getting bigger every day D: I need something pretty!

I recently came across her patterns, so super cute! thanks for the chance!
Yes, please! I love her patterns!
You look adorable, if a bit alarmingly pregnant, haha. Gotta love the ‘any day now’ comments when it really isn’t so. I got those starting soooo early with both my girls! I’m 16 weeks now and look… 16 weeks! What?! I haven’t grown much since I was 8-10 weeks and looking around 16, lol. I’m carrying smaller and higher. The heartbeat is also 145 where both my girls were 165, so my hubby is paranoid we’re having a boy! 😉 I’ll find out next month!
Cute dress! And I would love to win one of her patterns! Thanks!
I’ve been looking at those patterns and how cool are they!
I love her patterns!
