T-shirt Cowl Scarf

I was wandering through Walmart trying to find a check out stand when I saw this yellow striped knit tank top on a clearance rack!

In my head I shrieked “Cowl scarf! I found you!” I know…I am a little crazy. At least I didn’t say it out loud…at least I don’t think I did. 🙂

I have been wanting to make a cowl scarf but haven’t found the resources or time. Well this beauty was $1 and took 5 minutes to make. Just perfect.

Take your shirt and wash it it if you want. I didn’t. Now… do as I say and not as I do because…I usually do, but this time…I was too impatient. 🙂 I wanted to wear it right away!

Cut straight across just below the armpits.

Hem the raw edge if you like. I did because although knit doesn’t fray it does curl.

…when you put it on all the raw seams show and it kind of goes with the rest of the shirt…I mean scarf! Cowl scarf. Right. 🙂

I have loved wearing it all day today. It’s light and not bulky at all. It also adds just a titch of extra warmth to my outfit. Just perfect for this weather.

See ya later!
