boy baby legs

June 4, 2010 · Delia 4 Comments

This is an old craft I did a few months ago and so many people have done it before, but I wanted to post about it because the weather is so perfect for these right now. I know they are great in the winter and fall to wear under pants and such but I like them in the Spring better. My son wanders around the house in a onsie or a warm weather outfit lately but at certain points in the day if it rains or something, it can get a little nippy. I just slide these on him and he is good to go. When he feels warm enough again I find them discarded and balled up on the stairs. 馃檪

I also love how cute they are on my “baby” who is not so much a baby anymore. I used this tutorial from Little Birdie’s Nest.

I made a bunch of these for my daughter as well. In fact, this was one of the first projects that got me excited about blogging…"hey world, look how awesome I am!" 馃檪

I have always wondered if this was "acceptable" for a boy… now seeing your adorable son's baby legs, I realize I should have been making these a long time ago!! I think I still will–even if it's nice and warm out now! 馃檪 How cute are those little legs?!
