tin can luminaries

Trick-or-Treaters…we’re ready for ya!

I saw these tin can luminaries from Kelly from Sewing In No Mans Land and thought these were a perfect way to welcome Trick-or-Treaters.

Plus…it is a completely free craft. Got to love that. Kind of like most of my decorations here and here 🙂

One thing that I found was that it was a pain to scrub the glue off the cans when I removed the labels. I just stuck them in the freezer and the glue fell right off. It was a pleasant surprise.

I did this in 10 minutes…so I didn’t use a template because I am lazy and didn’t want this to be a big project…. and you can tell but I still like them. 🙂

They don’t worry me as much as the paper bag kind and….they were free! Ha aha. Love that.

Thank you Kelly for a great, fast, easy, FREE project!

Have a safe and happy Halloween!

I have to make some of these! Gah! I keep just getting rid of cans (DUH, like the two I JUST USED for mandarin oranges for the kids' lunch!) when I should be keeping them for cute projects! What's the matter with me?! 🙂
