Me too. We just barely finished ours this afternoon. Phew.
So...this might be too late, but just in case it's not, I thought I would share what we did.
First, I got this idea from Craftiness is Not Optional. Glow stick valentines? Genius. What kid doesn't like glow sticks? And! It's not candy.
Jessica shares two super adorable free printables. I was all set to use the boy version and then... the only glow sticks I could find where I live, were five for $1 instead of fifteen for $1. We need 22 Valentines, and with printing costs for color printing (I like to use a print shop) the Valentines were getting a little too pricey.
So, I quickly whipped up a black and white version. Not as cute, but sweet and simple. ...and the printing cost was only 60 cents. Win!
We wrote the To and From on the back, punched holes at the top and bottom, and popped a glow stick in each one. Done! Super easy and fun to make.
They ended up looking pretty rad against the black and white.
They turned out so photogenic that I couldn't help but snap more than a few pictures... ;)
I love handmade Valentines, especially when they come together as quick as the store bought ones.
Oh...and if your child is into Star Wars, I've seen people use glow sticks like light sabers with their Valentines. Just do a google or pinterest search and you'll find lots of great stuff!
If you want to download my black and white version go here (it's free).
*I checked with CINO to make sure it was okay to provide my own printable, since I got the idea from her! :)
Have a happy hearts day!

I made these as game prizes for the Valentine's party in my son's class (with a different printable). I was soooo sad when I got to the store to find they were 5 for $1 instead of 15! What happened to the tubes of 15...loved those!!
Your printable turned out great.
Speaking of those Star Wars printables...I made some yesterday. Check it out:

I like the black and white with the glowsticks. Very fun. =)
Super cute, Delia! I'm sure your boys loved them. The Star Wars idea is fantastic, too.
