Blooming Columbines

June 21, 2011 · Delia 10 Comments

I hurt my back last week. I hurt it at least once or twice a year. Chronic bad back, nothing new to me. But my husband was so sweet to pick some Columbine flowers for me to cheer me up.
He brought them home about day 4 into the injury, so I was up and vacuuming the house when he walked in the door. Imagine his surprise. Like I said…back pain?…nothing new to me. Most of the time I get it and lose it like a weak cold. He felt a little cheated. 馃檪 But I was pretty happy to get some wild flowers and my back healed in the same day.
I hope you had a splendid Father’s Day weekend. See you tomorrow!

Those photos are gorgeous! I just love columbine; they're one of my mother's favorite flowers. Glad you got feeling better.

Wow, these are so beautiful! I've never seen them before.. Must make my boyfriend notice them sometime 馃檪 Flowers are just such a nice touch to any day, I just made a skirt with the most amazing flowery fabric from IKEA. Nature has it all!

    Oh, they're so pretty!
Back pain is the worst! I've been battling it on and off for about 2 years. I find that running helps…which is totally counter-intuitive, but it does!

Hi Delia, I was wondering if you could post the link to the tutorial for the lipgloss you made a while back in the comments. I was wanting to make it, but I couldn't seem to find it.
