It’s that time of year again.
Sick season.
Last week, I had two out of three children sick. Reid wasn’t sick but he didn’t have preschool until the afternoon, so he was reaping the TV benefits of having two sick siblings (wouldn’t you?).
When one gets sick it seems all or most of the rest of us get sick too.
The baby gets sick most often and spreads it most easily.
How can you not cuddle that face even when she is blowing snot all over your shoulder and hair? You can’t I tell you. Even Owen can’t resist her baby charms.
She has also become very mobile.
So, naturally she touches EVERYTHING. And the dirtier it is, the more interesting it is to her. Getting into the trash is her favorite past time. Ugh.
There’s no doubt, she is busy girl. So I have to work to keep her surroundings as clean as practical.
I don’t want her to live in a bubble, but with all the illness going around, especially the flu, I do try to minimize the germs and the mess.
So, Clorox Disinfecting Wipes are super handy to have around.
There are also a few rules we abide by to help keep all of our family healthy. It’s all the usual stuff. You know…
– Coughing into our elbows. We’ve nicknamed it the germ catcher, which seems to help my kids understand why they need to do it. If they understand why they need to do it, they seem to remember to do it.
– Wash hands, wash hands, wash hands. We wash when we come home from being out and about, we wash before eating, and at the other obvious times of the day. Sometimes I drive my family nuts with how much I remind them to do this, but I am positive it is a key factor in helping us stay healthy.
-Disinfect high traffic areas at least once a week. If we have been sick I do this a little more frequently. I hit all the usual places: light switches, door knobs, the fridge handle, computer mice, keyboards (just the surface of the keys), and TV remotes. I also swab our phones with alcohol pads.
– I use Clorox Clean-Up to disinfect kitchen counters, especially after handling meat products, to prevent food borne illnesses.

I LOVE Clorox wipes. They are so easy to use even my husband uses them! I really like that I can use them everywhere and don't need to have a million different cleaners. I keep a stock in each bathroom and in the kitchen AND I even have my work buy them for the lab I work in. I guess it is obvious that I'm a huge fan!
I'm also a huge fan of the wipes. How did we ever survive before Clorox wipes?!? We buy the multi-packs from Costco and keep them all over the house. We should buy stock.
I just used the wipes to disinfect all the usual germ hot spots after a flu outbreak at the kid's school. I love the convenience!
Clorox wipes are great and so easy! I'm hoping none of us get really sick this winter!
We use them all the time, too. Especially in the bathroom because it is so much nicer to just throw it away after cleaning the toilet than using a rag and having to wash the nasty rag in the laundry.

We use the clorox wipes. It is so easy to disinfect things that way. My 18 month old still chews on everything and my 4 year old is a thumb sucker (we're trying to get her to stop) so every germ she touches ends up in her mouth.

Clorox multi surface wipes! I am convinced they are why my 11 week old son has not yet gotten sick from my husband's flu or my strep this winter. Use them everywhere.
Definitely the wipes! I'm really wary of germs from raw meat, especially chicken, so I give my counters a good wipe down every time I cook meat!
I use the Clorox wipes daily. It's become a habit of mine to quickly wipe down the bathroom sink and the toilet every morning after I get done with my bath. I also like to use a wipe to go over all the door knobs in our house.
Colorado wipes are so helpful! One carton in the house, one in the car, all the time.

I don't use a lot of chemicals when I clean because of my son's sensitivity to scents, and they are all so scented. However, I do use chlorox wipes a lot cause the scent isn't as bad as other brands. I use them everywhere, especially when he's been sick.

We use Clorox wipes every day at least once to wipe down our table in preparation for a meal. It's a tradition to use them, really.
Love Clorox wipes because they make it so easy to clean everything. I keep them everywhere, including my car, to clean up anything and everything. My three kids know that they just have to pull a wipe out and clean the mess.

My husband works in the ER, so we always wash his scrubs in Clorox 2!! He takes them off the second he walks through the door and into the washer they go so he doesn't spread anything funky to our 11 month old.

I just love good old fashioned Clorox bleach. With all the germs we drag home from the subway and all (we live in NYC), I just feel more safe disinfecting the floors and surfaces with bleach every week or two.

Hmm. I have never used the wipes (but I did buy 3 megapacks for my daughter's classroom). The only clorox product I have at home is a gallon of bleach. Works for everything starting with cleaning the toilet to cleaning the fridge that has gone funky when you are gone for 3 weeks 🙂

I really like the clorox toilet bowl cleaner- the liquid gel kind. That sucker is so strong that I squeeze it in when I start cleaning other bathroom items, and when I get back to the toilet I never need to scrub. It’s a simple flush- and it’s done. Plus the nice bleachy clean smell stays with the toilet a few days.

I keep a squirt bottle (the kind that chefs use to decorate plates with sauces, not the trigger kind) of diluted Clorox next to our dish soap and use it for all sorts of stuff beyond the dishes & cutting boards. It's great just squeezed onto a towel to wipe down just about anything.

I make sure to use Clean-Up with Bleach on anything chicken touches in the kitchen. Not for keeping us from getting sick, but I've been going at our grout with the old school bleach diluted and it looks great!

More than anything, we use straight up Clorox bleach. We disinfect our inhaler spacers & masks, the toys, floors, bathrooms, you name it. My son comments that our bathroom smells like the swimpark after I’ve cleaned up. 🙂 i know there are less germs hanging around after a good clorox session!

Love the Clorox Clean up with bleach spray. Lots of smallish tiles so lots of grout in our kitchen and it's the only thing I trust to kill the germs that live in the grout and it helps keep the grout looking clean(ish). I'd love to get new counter tops but until then I rely on this product.

I love the lavender Clorox wipes for quick cleanups. My favorite, though, is the Anywhere spray. I really do use it anywhere!

My babe was sick like 4 times this past winter. Once with the flu. I felt really bad but she seemed to take it with ease. And those sick baby cuddles are the best.
