Color My Summer Contest

April 30, 2011 · Delia 6 Comments

So the Color My Summer Series officially begins tomorrow but today we want to kick off the …

Color My Summer Contest
We are looking for the most creative, colorful, fun projects of the summer.
It can be anything, any medium, any skill level.
As long as it fits the judging criteria and it’s colorful, it works.

The judging criteria:
We are looking for that Aha! factor. As in…
Aha! I wish I thought of that.
Aha! Now, that’s clever.
Aha! I am SOOO making that this summer.

It doesn’t have to be complicated, or require a lot of skill {although it can}. It just needs a lot of creativity and ingenuity. Oh…and a lot of summer. You can interpret that however you like.

The rules:
1. It needs to be a new project. Don’t post it, or any pictures of it, on your blog in any form until after the contest is over. We want the judging to be as fair as possible.

2. The contest begins today, May 2, 2011 and ends Tuesday, May 24, 2011. The project must have been created during that time period. All entries must be submitted by 8 PM MDT on May 24, 2011.

3. Submit a maximum of 3 pictures of your project and a short description to this email address:
[email protected]
*If you should win, keep in mind that you will have the opportunity to post a tutorial for your project at a later date on one of our blogs.

4. Judging process:
Kirstin, Jordan, and I will review all entries and narrow it down to ten final applicants.
Entries are then sent to our panel of judges anonymously for voting. Our panel of judges will consist of all of our guest bloggers. They will vote anonymously for their two favorites. We will tally all votes and award one grand prize winner, and one runner up.
If you are a judge (aka- a Color My Summer guest blogger) or directly related to a judge, to Delia, or to the kojo girls, you may not enter.

5. Make sure you put one of the Color My Summer buttons on your blog (any of the Color My Summer buttons will do, we’re not picky).

EDITED TO ADD…

6. You may enter a maximum of 2 projects.

And now for the best part…the PRIZES!
The Grand Prize Winner will receive:
Free book credit {shipping included} from Paper Coterie
$25 gift certificate from Belleza Mia
3 yards of fabric from kojodesigns
One free pattern for a Runaround Bag from Noodlehead
Opportunity to post your project tutorial on Kojodesigns
The Runner-up will receive:
Free book credit {shipping included} from Paper Coterie
One free pattern for a Gathered clutch from Noodlehead
Opportunity to post your project tutorial on delia creates

How do I see that I have credit on the Paper Coterie website? I created an account but can’t find where I’m credited $40.

Delia, I’m sure I’m just being flaky, but where can I find the html to put your button on my blog? (This is really fun, I have to get thinking!)

For the Color My Summer contest, do we have to do a tutorial on what we make? Or can we just make something?
