jersey skirt

August 2, 2010 · Delia 7 Comments

Does anyone else miss Disney? I do. I am so glad she left her site up so we can look through old projects. I made her 20 minute skirt the other day but instead of using elastic I use some t-shirt material since my skirt was all jersey material as well.

So I actually took this myself without my tripod because I was too lazy to set it up. I thought it kind of turned out cool blurry. But for the purposes of showing off the skirt I enlisted my husband’s help.

Phew right?
Wait…Does my bum really stick out like that all the time. Er….moving on.

So comfy. See the T-shirt band?
I ended up folding it over because I had enough length on the skirt and it fit and looked better this way.

You know what is really great? This cost me I think $1. I got the jersey as a remnant and the shirt was on hand from the hats I made last month. Even if you bought jersey full price or with a coupon…it is much less than buying a skirt out right in the store and you can say, “I made this!” You can’t buy that feeling.

I am going to make more Disney projects soon. They are just too good. 馃檪

Missing Disney but thanks to Dana for the link that lead me to your blog! I absolutely love the yoga pant style waistband…noting as "a must try". I think my little girls will love the comfort of it.
