My second eBook design!

July 25, 2013 · Delia 15 Comments

Hi guys!

You may know that our new Five and Ten Designs eBook is already out. (yay!)
Read my first introductory post HERE聽and more about the book HERE.
Basically five designers (me included) got together to create ten looks from one basic bodice.
With bonus accessory patterns, there really are so many looks you can make even beyond the ten we share.
The great thing about this book is that there are designs for a variety of skill levels.
You can start with the basic dress instructions, then add more skills and more difficult pattern alterations with each look. Thus teaching yourself and pushing yourself to be a better seamstress as you sew through the book! Just follow the skill level chart to help gauge where you’re at and which dresses to start with.
This tunic and my color block dress are both a level two skill level. They have just enough differences from the basic dress to challenge a beginner to create a uniquely different look, without being overwhelming.
Each design comes with photographed instructions to help you along the way as well.
This tunic closes all the way up the back with a fun row of buttons. You can get crazy or creative with this to add more personal flair to your tunic.
The half moon pockets add a pop of color and design, and are functional as well.
As Natalie proved by stashing rocks in there… before taking them back out to throw them.
In this picture, she found one she had forgotten about and excitedly showed off her found treasure to me. She is starting to grow into a really fun age and I love it.
This is an all weather tunic too! You can wear it as is, in warm weather, or add a knit tee underneath in the cold weather. Or…you can use one of the bonus accessory patterns and add a cap sleeve.
So many possibilities! 馃檪
Want to see more of the looks in our eBook?
Pretty stuff right? 馃檪
聽There are more pictures and goodies at our site HERE.
And of course you can also follow the link below to purchase a copy.

Natalie has gotten so big! 馃檪 (I've been swamped with the new addition for the past three months and my blog reading has slipped…)

This is such a cute dress! Absolutely LOVE it. Seriously considering buying the book. I love sewing for little girls and have three nieces to sew for!
I have a son so I am trying to find some cute things to sew for him. Unfortunately it seems to be much tougher than sewing for girls.

I love those pockets! What a cute addition. Natalie is adorable, too. She's so excited by those rocks! I love the whole idea behind the five & ten designs, by the way.

Your little girl is everyday more gorgeous. I have a question about the book and the different dresses. All look like summer dresses. Is there instructions to sew them long sleeves or regular short sleeves? Thanks

Oh my gosh, Delia. How sweet is this? I'm not sure which I'm more in love with, those contrast pockets of the row of buttons in the back. Fabulous work!
