Trick or Treat…Halloween Eye Candy

November 1, 2011 · Delia 7 Comments

I hope you all had a fun, safe Halloween!
Here are some fun pictures from our trick or treating adventures.
聽Reid went as a dragon {from Old Navy} and loved it.聽 He waggled his poofy little bum everywhere and told us not to touch his tail because “it’s sharp!” 馃檪 I love Old Navy costumes…and that I didn’t have to make it.
Owen’s costume…
…actually became a make it work moment 30 minutes before last Friday’s Halloween carnival but we ended up sticking with the look because we liked it.
聽He’s wearing his brother’s too small blazer that has some balled up socks taped into the shoulders and some old cut up pants and shirt.
The hat tutorial is found here.
And they’re off!
We had to coax our kids out to go to the mall trick-or-treating, but they absolutely loved the neighborhood trick-or-treating. Proof to me that that’s what real trick-or-treating should be! 馃檪
This moon is actually from earlier this month. Our moon tonight was obscured by clouds.
And this is totally random, but my husband put our magnetic spiders into what else? A spider shape. Thought it was worth sharing.
Of course when you’re done trick or treating you have to come home and take inventory of your candy stash. It’s tradition!
We let them have one piece…which turned into like 3 because Reid is super sneaky and had already eaten that many before we realized it. 馃檪
The night was a real treat for my husband and I because we got to see lots of friends and neighbors during our trick or treating rounds….and you know we snatched some of that candy too. 馃檪 It was a great night! I hope you had a fun night too!
Happy Halloween!

Cute costumes! My son actually had the monkey one from Old Navy, but it’s stashed in a box at my in-laws somewhere. 馃檨

Neighborhood trick or treating is the best! There is nothing like it. My little man LOVED passing out treats at our door once he was finished filling up his bucket.

    Happy belated Halloween!

Fun pictures! Love the costumes, your boys look so cute 馃檪 I love Old Navy costumes too- Carlos was a lion when he was one, and then wore a pirate one when he was three (which Lucas wore this year).
